PM Modi to launch the Smart Cities and Atal Mission for Urban Rejuvenation(AMRUT/earlier JNNURM) with budgeted spending of ~Rs500bn over 5 years. AMRUT spending in 500 cities to benefit Metros(Larsen, BEML,ABB, Siemens), Sewerage Treatment(VA Tech), Roads and transport(Ashok Leyland, Cummins). Key beneficiaries of Smart City(100 cities) are Schneider Electric, ABB, Siemens and Va Tech.
